In a press conference conducted on Monday, the union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar revealed that there will no changes in the names of BHU and AMU. Various stories had been circulation that after the names of the universities will be changed by the government but all those rumors have been denied by the minister. The issue aroused when an audit committee of UGC [University Grants Commission] suggested that the names of universities like BHU and AMU should be changed as they do not show any secular characteristics. It was suggested that the words Muslim and Hindu should be dropped from the official names of the universities. Ryan International School Responsible For Boy's Death: CBSE

Nirmal Singh Lotus noticed that the school was guilty of sheer negligence from the board authorities in the gruesome case of Pradhyumn's death where a 7-year-old was killed inside the Ryan International School. The school management was asked to provide the authorities with a show- cause notice within 15 days. To quote the notice exactly asks: "why [its] provisional affiliation for secondary and senior secondary level may not be withdrawn". The school was pronounced responsible by the board seven times in the notice, which includes the willful violations of the provisions of affiliations bylaws. In the follow up, the CBSE issued a statement to the school: "the school has failed to discharge its responsibility to file the FIR and inform the district education officer and CBSE..." and that "the FIR was subsequently filed by the parent".
